  • Ep035. This time Take-san will make Chirashi-sushi. Chirashi means to scatter. We sprinkle various seafood and thinly sliced eggs on sushi rice to make Chirashi sushi.
    In Japan, March 3rd is "Hina-matsuri", the Girl's Festival. Hina-matsuri is an event to "wish for the healthy growth of girls. It is celebrated with Chirashi-sushi, Clam soup, Hina Arare, etc.
    [RECIPE]
    1. Prepare sushi rice. Add the sushi vinegar to the cooked rice.
     Rice (warm) - 400g
     Sushi vinegar
      Vinegar - 2 tablespoons
      1.5 tablespoons sugar
      Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
      or 3 tablespoons commercial sushi vinegar
    2. Japanese spring vegetables, rapeseed blossoms, are quickly cooked.
    3. Turnips are cut and marinated in vinegar.
    4. Prepare the fried egg. Add potato starch and mix the eggs well to give flexibility to the fried egg.
    When the eggs are cooked, cut them into thin strips.
    5. Cut the fish to be added to the sushi into small, easy-to-eat pieces.
    6. Add the rice on a plate or box and spread the egg on top.
    7. Place the ingredients on top.
    Tips
    Chirashi sushi is all about color, so sprinkle some green and red.
    The dish looks delicious.

      Thanks for the comment. Yes. The sake that appears on RUclips is for me, not for cooking. I recommend the very dry sake with a little carbonation left in it.
